Palazzo Vendramin Grimani reopens its doors with an exhibition Collateral Event of the 60th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia entitled ‘Per non perdere il filo’. Karine N'guyen Van Tham - Parul Thacker, (‘So as not to lose the thread’) conceived and produced by Fondazione dell'Albero d'Oro and curated by Daniela Ferretti.

The project was made in collaboration with artists and composers Himali Singh Soin and David Soin Tappeser and the collective Gesturing Towards Decolonial Futures – and is curated by Hana Janečková.

The three artists representing Finland—Pia Lindman, Vidha Saumya and Jenni-Juulia Wallinheimo-Heimonen—all create work that explores the human body and our bodily experience. According to a press statement, each of the artists “has crafted a transdisciplinary practice in which art, life and activism are consciously intertwined” and have been commissioned to create new pieces that will work in dialogue with each other.

‘The Rooted Nomad’ will be the first immersive exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the artist. The show will include a selection of paintings, photographs, letters, films, collages and poetry, providing a full gestalt of his intimate and then estranged relationship with his beloved India.

Bringing together more than 200 artists and thinkers from 51 different countries, Beyond Boundaries presents itself as a journey that will cross multiple borders – geographic, political, religious, cultural and artistic. (Including Faiza Butt)
